Social Work
As a social worker within the aged care system I can assist you to navigate all the services you need to make your life easier
Social Work
Social workers provide counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy. They connect people with resources (housing, legal aid, healthcare) and work to remove structural barriers in society. Looking at the "person-in-environment," considering the whole person and the systems around them rather than just their immediate problem
Counselling
Counselling to support you through life changes, grieving and physical and relationship adjustments
Housing
Support to ensure access to secure housing and assist in adjustments to changes in living circumstances
Safety
Elder abuse and domestic violence require legal, emotional and physical systemic supports that may be impossible to navigate alone.
Other things social workers do
Social workers assist with everything from negotiating electricity bill payment plans to securing food assistance or allied health assistance to support physical recovery to advocating for your human rights with respect and empathy.
Australian Association of Social Workers
I am a member of the AASW and hold a Masters Degree in Social Work Professional Qualifying. This allows you piece of mind that I am suitably supervised and qualified to support you.
